This type of foreign language immersion fosters independence, confidence, and self-sufficiency overseas.

Enrolling in a language school is another option for learning a new language in a more structured and long-term manner.

But what if we combine these two aspects to support children's language acquisition and interest? In this blog post, we will explore Immersive English Learning experiences and the new Camp Beaumont programmes, developed in partnership with UKLC. An Immersive English Learning Experience involves learning the English language exclusively in an environment where it is consistently utilised.

Students exposed to immersive language learning display higher levels of fluency (2). This immersion in an English language setting provides continuous exposure and limitless opportunities to learn a new language or improve existing language skills.

There are no boundaries to the types of learning experiences that promote language acquisition. Simply being in an English-speaking environment encourages language practice and usage for communication.

A combination of structured sessions to strengthen and practice literacy skills, meet academic objectives, and less-structured tasks and activities contribute to a holistic approach that helps develop listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Task-based learning is another purposefully planned opportunity for learners to gain perspectives and insights and apply their English Language and Literacy skills in real-world scenarios.

English being a medium for communication, language acquisition encompasses learning opportunities and experiences that go beyond language itself. For instance, you can apply your English comprehension skills to understand verbal or written instructions for baking a cake or present and discuss your robotics project with classmates and teachers using the English language. Group work also promotes peer learning and the development of social skills in a natural manner.

Camp Beaumont Asia recognized the need to promote positive and high-quality English learning programmes and has partnered with UKLC to offer English Immersion Programmes that strike the perfect balance between purposeful play and learning.

UKLC, with over 20 years of experience in running English Language courses and training English Language teachers, is proud to have maintained British Council Accreditation since 2006. This accreditation serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to providing quality education. Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that this is the first programme in Malaysia to offer a British Council-accredited English Language programme.

UKLC's programme focuses on task-based learning, English Language skills acquisition, and Content and Language Integrated Learning. Camp Beaumont Asia maximizes this immersive experience by continuously engaging and interacting with learners in an English-speaking environment through our award-winning camp programmes. By integrating STEAM learning and fun educational adventures, our English Immersion Programmes provide learners with a holistic and enriching experience that will be remembered for a lifetime.

• 5-day English Tuition Day Camp (Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm)
• For learners aged 5 to 12 years old
• 15 hours of British Council-accredited English lessons conducted by UKLC
• Up to 10 engaging and exciting activities from Camp Beaumont's award-winning camp programmes
• Includes 2 snacks and lunch

Residential

• 14-day English Tuition Residentials
• For learners aged 9 to 15 years old
• 30 hours of British Council-accredited English lessons conducted by UKLC
• Up to 40 activities (including excursions!) from Camp Beaumont's award-winning camp programmes
• Evening entertainment
• Full board (accommodations and meals) in prestigious international school campuses
