Acting in loco parentis, we apply the same standards of care and safety that any parent would expect, particularly as many of us are parents ourselves. Our camp managers and teams undergo extensive, industry-leading training and inductions, with a focus on quality, safety, and providing inspiring experiences for every child.
Camp Beaumont operate a very strict recruitment process ensuring all necessary checks are completed to ensure all employees are suitable to work with children.
We will conduct extensive background checks on all successful applicants. All adults in the school community are expected to follow the CB’s child protection procedures, and any contracts offered are subject to satisfactory references, full employment history and Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC)/ Police Clearance Certificate (PPC)/International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) as appropriate.
Throughout employment all staff and management are subject to regular observations to monitor performance and extra training where required to ensure staff are maintaining outstanding levels of safeguarding processes.
At each camp location, we ensure that our Designated Safeguarding Lead is at hand at all times. While young campers are at our camps we encourage openness, we're qualified to listen and we encourage expression – we can either help our campers seek an appropriate route or point them in the right direction for assistance.
